| Our Customers Are Our Business When you hire San Diego Hauling® to haul away and disposal of your junk or to recycle your appliances you get a professional and licensed, family owned business with reasonable rates. You get honest, hard work and above all no gimmicks or fake specials or fake discounts. We don't post a really low up front price quote on the Internet prior to hearing the specific details and circumstances of your job. This attention getting gimmick is meant to entice and trick the Internet viewing customers into calling that person first. All of us haulers pretty much pay the same gas prices and dump fees. Did you know that haulers tend to charge more for construction debris and dirt, logically because it takes longer to load and unload as well as costing more to dump than say tree branches which are assessed at a much lower dump fee at the landfill. Tree branches are recycled and are not buried into the landfills. Also the distance the job site is from the landfill. Also factors into the price quote. If the debris needs to be hauled out or wheel barrow out of the back yard to the driveway, that will also substantially increase the price quote as well. Knowing these details and circumstances are essential before a firm price quote can be given over the phone or Internet. In the last few years there has been a huge influx of out of state haulers and out of state business usually found at the very top of the page of a Google or Yahoo Internet search. That is the sponsor block where they pay to be there at the front of the line. Some of these businesses sell your job to a local hauler here in San Diego for a flat fee or a percentage of the job. We get approached at least once a month via phone by these business trying to recruit us. There has also has been an explosion in the last 5 years of new junk haulers and part time haulers entering the hauling market here in San Diego because they can advertise for free and anonymously on the Internet. Some of the new junk haulers I have meet at the dumps and some of these new haulers are honest, hard working guys and others are certainly not. A lot of these other individuals don't even bother to get a business license and just use someone else's name or a fictitious name without filing for that name. To use a fictitious name in business one is required by law to file for a D.B.A with the County Of San Diego. (619-237-0502) Be cautious in dealing with individuals trying to ride our coat tails by using our trade marked business name ( San Diego Hauling ) or any like sounding names in there Internet posting. One of these new hauling guys I talked to one guy at the dumps who had his telephone number spray painted on the sides of his truck told me that he was working for cash hauling junk to avoid paying child support to his wife. So she's on welfare and our taxes are supporting his 2 kids. Most free Internet ads I see posted, only post a first name and a cell phone number depending on where you are looking. People should know who they are dealing with and who are really coming to their house. When comparing prices whether you are renting a dumpster or hiring a business hauling junk with a pick-up truck or with a larger truck, compare how much they charge by the cubic yard which is the industries standard. If the hauler is using a pick-up truck he should able to stack it as high as 7 feet or 12 cubic yards if it is not concrete or such heavy material. Look at our picture of the one ton Ford pick-up truck below. It is stacked 9 feet high, that is 16 cubic yards. We charged $140 for that job. Most the haulers using the bigger trucks that charge by the 1/4 or 1/2 or 3/4 are charging $400 for a load like this. By comparing prices verses cubic yards you will see we have great prices. The biggest pick-up trucks are one tons and that's what we buy and use. Without using names some companies post on the Internet what they charge by the cubic yard. Some are charging 3 times more than us. I have been in this industry since 1979 and we are here for the long haul and not just between jobs or part time haulers. We are a licensed and insured business. With us you get a company, who show up on time. We will not haphazardly throw the junk into the truck to make 2 truck loads out of one. We careful stack the junk into the truck mindful of the junk that must be loaded first and at the bottom of the truck to maximize the load. I believe In customer satisfaction and hands on involvement. That is why eighty percent of our business is repeat business. Some of our customers have been using us for over 20 years now. So call a local business with a long track record of experience and excellent service to our community of San Diego. Open 7 days. |
